Troubles tend to separate the wheat from the tares!

Isaiah tells his story with metaphors, similes, parallels, allegories.

Chapter and Verse in Isaiah? Not So Simple! Several of you have asked the question as to the “Chapter and verse where it tells us that there will be 3 ½ years of trouble, then 3 ½ years of destruction, and when the exodus will take place within that period.”

Sorry . . . but Isaiah is not so simple and straight forward. I assure you it is there, but Isaiah tells his story with metaphors, similes, parallels, allegories, etc. You must look for a pattern, or keyword which represent what you are looking for. You will find that those patterns and keywords are very consistent throughout Isaiah and therefore you come to depend upon the meaning of those keywords. I'm using, primarily, Gileadi's guidance on this..

I don't have time to provide an in-depth analysis right now, but I will try to do that in the near future. For now, I will give you one example from chapter 2 of Isaiah.
