"No greater immediate responsibility rests upon the members of the church, upon all citizens of this republic and of neighboring republics than to protect the freedom vouchsafed by the Constitution of the United States." (The Instructor, August, 1953)

In the days of the Prophet Noah, men had no greater immediate responsibility than to repent and board the Ark. Now in our day, the day of the Prophet David O. McKay, he has said that we have no greater immediate responsibility than to protect the freedom vouchsafed by the Constitution of the United States.

At the last general conference of the church (October 1966), President McKay, in his opening address, said,

"Efforts are being made to deprive man of his free agency -- to steal from the individual his liberty.... There has been an alarming increase in the abandoning of the ideals that constitute the foundation of the Constituti…

Current attempt to collapse the government was foreseen-

Earlier this year Glenn Beck spilled the beans regarding the SEIU and a plot to collapse the government so that they could then rebuild it with their guys in power. I believe that the "occupiers" are part of their intent. With this in mind check out what Isaiah said:
"And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart,

Thus it appears that the destruction may have been from an internal strife (civil strife) and now they are going to rebuild. They don't have bricks and so they will build with hewn stone. The wood won't …

Are We Becoming Gray Mormons?

A Gray Mormon is a fence sitter. There is a great article written by H. David Burton on Standing tall. He states that "It is said that a fence-sitter eventually has to come down on one side or the other. If we are sitting on the top of life’s fences, now is the time to muster the courage to stand tall on the side of righteousness and shun the shackles of sin.

In Revelation there is a strong warning to the fence sitters (Revelation 3: 15, 16):
“I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
“So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”

The life, ministry, and teachings of our Savior, Jesus Christ, provide a template for introspective assessment. Jesus Christ is our perfect example of one who always stood tall. He is the one who personifies integrity, strength, and courage.

M. Russell Ballard states that "When we covenant in the waters of baptism to “stand as witnesses of God at all times an…
