The Nativity (No Intro)
Dreams Of The Very Near Future:
This dream was related to me by a young man in about 1998:
“I was in a large assembly hall with many other young men. We were outfitted with good uniforms, equipment, and weapons. There was a spirit of energy and optimism among the group; no fear, no anxiety. We were going into battle in defense of God, family, and country; our lives and liberty were at stake. We knew that our Heavenly Father approved of us.
Our commander climbed to the stage at the front of the hall. A large flag hung from the wall behind him. It was the stars and stripes, but slightly different. It had thirteen alternating red and white stripes, but in the field of blue was a circle of twelve white stars and inside this circle were three white stars forming an equilateral triangle with one star above the other two which were horizontally next to each other.
Turning to face us, he said the following: ‘Brethren, I stand before you, grateful to my Father in Heaven for the privilege of leading you into battle. Surely, no man since Helaman has led such an army of righteous and believing youth! Let us remember why and for whom we fight.’ At this he turned to the flag and spoke:
‘This is what our flag represents: White stripes for the pure cause of freedom for which we fight; red stripes for the blood shed for us by our Savior; a field of blue for heaven above and those who have gone before us; this circle of stars for the twelve tribes of Israel, whose children we are; and the stars in the center for Father, Son and Holy Ghost. To them we dedicate our efforts today!’
At this, a mighty shout of “Hallelujah!” went up from the assembled troops. The Spirit there was very strong!”
Strange phrase from my 5yr old
First thing this morning my five year old came to me:
T - Hey Mom, guess what?
M - What?
T - "Seven days we will march, but on the eighth day we will stop and fight"
M - Really? Where did you hear that?
T - I just had the idea
He then shows me a paper on which he had written:
"7 day's we will mrch But on the 8th day we will Stop"
M - Did you copy this from somewhere?
T - No, I just had the idea
The only 'war' movie he has seen in the last few months is the cartoon 'Helaman's Stripling Warriors'
We home school, so I know it's not anything he's been learning lately.
My husband and I both feel there is something to this. This is not his normal speech pattern. Also, the handwriting was far better than what he has been doing lately and was written straight across an unlined page. He is my oldest.
